Social Marketing Campaign

HAMDEN YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL's (HYAC) / POSITIVE CHOICES CAMPAIGN: My three year position as Media Outreach Coordinator for the Town of Hamden's social marketing campaign to prevent underage drinking and drug use was funded through DMHAS and SAMHSA (2012-15). The message and content of material I designed was based on survey data/results revealing Hamden specific assets and statistics. The survey, administered to High School and Middle School Students, was utilized to set the goals of the campaign and subsequent surveys were utilized to track success and progress. One focus of the campaign was outreach to parents and parental messages, while the other focus was to offer support to local youth organizations as they conveyed "Positive" youth-to-youth messages. Printed and imprinted hand-out materials convey different messages for both parents and youth. The later survey administered in 2014 showed "Positive" results from this campaign! Campaign identity was established by expanding an existing Council logo. Similar color and fonts used throughout entire campaign. Projects include: Retractible Banner • Trifold Brochures • Series of Rack Cards • Banners • E-notify Email Flyers • Posters • Flyers • Stickers • Imprinted Material • Press Releases • Publicity • Event Photography • Website Support • Website Banner • Website Sliders • Supporting Website Posts • Website Archives of Press Releases

Layout using existing logo for Hamden Youth Advisory Council standing retractible banner, tag line text incorporates additional font options. Positive Choices Campaign logo was designed to stand alone or  be used in conjunction with the Council logo.
The card below accompanied Valentine "Conversation Hearts" Candy as a handout to encourage a dialogue between parents and their teen.
